Here's My Story,

 

I'm Benjamin O'Connor,

My senior year of high school I made the unpopular decision to skip college to pursue my dream of becoming an entrepreneur. I was 18 years old, coming from a lower-class family, with no clear path on how to make it. One thing I knew for sure- I had to make it! I refused to continue living a life of financial struggle that I had experienced growing up as a kid. 

The next several years I read every book that I could read, pursued every mentor that I could find and attended every seminar that I could attend. Nonetheless, by the age of 21, I was financially broke and had already failed at starting 3 businesses. I was finally ready to quit. I began applying to the local community college but there was just one problem… my heart wouldn’t let me quit!  

3 Strikes... You're In! 

I made one final attempt. I contacted an old friend from high school. His dad was the most successful businessperson I knew. His dad took me out to dinner and said two words that forever changed my life... “MOBILE HOMES.”

My jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe that such a successful investor was involved in selling mobile homes. In fact, I had never even thought about selling mobile homes. 

As luck would have it, his investment company had an open sales position. I began working for him as an independent contractor (commission only). My job entailed finding mobile homes to buy, overseeing renovations, advertising the mobile homes for sale, negotiating the deals, facilitating closings, and handling repossessions for the company's owner-financed mobile homes. As you can imagine, I learned a lot! 

Master Training

During this time, I was introduced to a man named Larry Kendall. Larry is the founder of Ninja Selling (a training program for elite real estate agents). Larry sponsored me to attend his sales training for free, and it changed my life. I incorporated Ninja Selling principles into selling mobile homes and my business skyrocketed.

Shortly after, I started my own brokerage business listing mobile homes using the name "The Franklin Modular Group." At the time, there were very few realtors willing to sell mobile homes in my market and the market was highly unprofessional. I made it my mission to bring high-end service to low-income communities.

I was selling dozens of listings every year and began doing a few fix & flip deals as well. I quickly realized that I could make significantly more money doing flips, so I pivoted my business model to focus on doing more flips & fewer listings.

Family Business

Along the journey I was growing my team. My first hire was a personal assistant, then I built a contractor crew. My most impactful hire was my mother. At the time she was a recently divorced massage therapist in her late 50s with no money for retirement.

She started as my part-time sales assistant and later evolved into my full-time sales associate responsible for doing all our listings, acquisitions, and home sales.

Within only 7 years, I was so proud to see how the mobile home business helped my mother go from only having $500 in the bank, to now having a paid off home, paid off vehicles and enough money to retire comfortably today. 

Financial Freedom

At the same time, I married my wife Cintia. Together we agreed to delay gratification and sacrifice our 20’s & 30’s until we gained financial freedom.

We aggressively cut our expenses. We paid off our credit cards, paid off our vehicles, moved out of our house (with the big mortgage) and moved into a paid off mobile home.

Meanwhile, our income was increasing. Over those years, we were able to save over 50% of our annual income. We paid for everything cash, including our wedding, our trips around the world and our investment properties.

To this day I’m proud to say that we’ve been debt free for well over a decade. I never thought that the Mobile Home Business would be my vehicle to financial freedom- but it was!  

20/20 Vision

During the 2020 pandemic, my wife & I moved to our private estate in the Nebraska Sandhills. We had already accomplished our financial mission, and it was time to reflect on what to do next.

During that time, we had to ask ourselves some tough questions:

“Should we just sell our business and retire somewhere beautiful in Latin America? No of course not, we’re too young to retire, plus we have way too much valuable knowledge to just throw away."

"OK, I got it! Let’s start an online school and teach the business? No that won't work because people need more than just knowledge, they need resources and ongoing support."

"Hey, what if we franchised our business? Yes, that’s it! My greatest gift has always been to bring the best out of other people. I can use my gift of bringing the best out of people by helping them duplicate my success in the mobile home business.” 

Walk Away on Top

It’s hard to walk away from a money machine but that’s exactly what I did. I made the tough decision to shut down my highly profitable mobile home investment company, and I transitioned full-time into franchising. 

I hired the best franchise attorneys & the best franchise advisors in the nation. I began the laborious process of documenting my business systems and the tedious legal filings in order to form a national franchise company.

I distilled 20+ years of experience, resources & training materials into a simple step-by-step system for you to duplicate. It's now with great pleasure that I share this opportunity with you (just like my mentor shared it with me over 20+ years ago).
